The program is a great idea to allow businesses the ability to access the talent of new grads and students and give them an opportunity to participate in a real world project and setting.

It was a great experience working with the Pathways to Environmental Careers team. I would recommend it to other employers as well.

A good research paper for future reference.

ECO Pathways is an excellent platform for an employer to work with an employee and vice versa. Benefits for an employer include; assistance in projects, a potential hire for your firm, developing appropriate material to provide as an overview for new employee's to achieve desired tasks, a sampling of work accomplished by new employees within a given time frame, learning the adequate ongoing communication required with a new employee to achieve a specific projects. Benefits for the employee includes; working hands on with an employer, abililty to gain experience in the work force, expand the perimeters of their specific education or current career objectives, gain insight into expectations by an employer (goals to accomplish, time frame, details, communication, etc.), obtain a job, a referral, also further experience for their resume.

During the initial application and submission application I found working with the coordinators to be very helpful. The only comment I would add is that the user interface of your platform should be improved so it is easier to navigate the process of engaging with potential candidates. It wasn't clear to me how to navigate so that it was understood the status of each application. The addition of a progress bar from first engagement to conclusion of each applicant would be helpful.
