Learner goals and capabilities

Partner with Montclair MBA students in a semester-long Co-op Experience to support your organization’s goals while helping shape emerging talent. This hands-on program connects students with professional organizations for 150 - 200 hours of meaningful work experience over the course of a semester. These hours are split into approximately 10 - 12 hours per week. While students complete separate academic assignments to reflect on industry trends, professional skills, and career pathways, your organization will benefit from their direct contributions to real-world projects.

Student teams will gain professional experience by working directly for a site supervisor who provides mentorship, project guidance, direction, and feedback throughout the semester. This collaboration is an opportunity to empower future professionals while gaining fresh perspectives for your team.

Organizations must meet the following criteria to participate:

  • Provide a project that fits the time requirement of 150 - 200 hours.
  • Offer practical training and mentorship aligned with organizational goals, offering students meaningful, timely, and continuous feedback.
  • Designate a staff member to supervise student work and facilitate regular check-ins.
  • Complete brief progress reports and participate in a virtual site visit with faculty advisors.
  • Commit to supporting a learning experience that enhances both student development and project outcomes.
